There was a movie released earlier this month called ATTACK OF THE SOUTHERN FRIED ZOMBIES. It's available now for ordering either download or dvd. It was originally going to be KUDZU ZOMBIES but no one outside the south knew what kudzu was so they changed it to SOUTHERN FRIED. Kudzu is still a part of the movie though, so that's cool. I haven't had time to watch it but I really want to get to soon. I thought I would let yall know about this cool thing out there because a bunch of Mississippi folk worked on this and filmed it in Charleston, MS. So go to the website KUDZUZOMBIES.COM just click it and it will take you right there and you can see where to find it and more interesting stuff.
I will be doing a more in dept article after I contact a few people on the project and interview them so keep an eye out for that. The book "DOX" , which is a time travel adventure written by me is now available for Kindle readers. It's got action... it's got adventure... it's got suspense... it's got time travel.... it's got humor .... it even has butt ugly aliens! Now it can be ordered and read with a Kindle or a Kindle app. Just click the title in the first sentence. For all of you old school folks who still believe in print books it's been available that way for a while now. Just click here for that version.
If you have never eaten at the HONG KONG restaurant in Louisville, MS then you need to correct that. Simon and Daisy serve the best Chinese food in the state. It"s not just one of my favorite places to eat it is my absolute favorite place to eat. A friend of mine from the coast who had a Chinese grand mother said it was as close to home cooked as you could get. Check it out sometime.
THE LAST PAGE is a new comic shop that will be opening in Starkville, MS pretty soon. They hope to be open by the end of the month if all goes right. You can find them on the facebook and follow their progress just by clicking HERE . They are located just off of Main Street in the downtown area at 101 South Washington Street. If you're not familiar with street names then head south from Mugshots and stop before you get to the Billiards building.
It's been years since we've had a comic book shop in Starkville. I remember the Gun Dog Comics days very fondly. There's been a couple of shops since then but we're finally getting another one so be sure to get out and support it once it opens. I'm in the Louisville area which is not too far to travel for a comic book shop.... Philadelphia is plenty close too. It's a lot better than driving two or two and a half hours to the closest comic book shop. Mississippi aint eat up with comic book shops so it's gonna be cool to have one just 30 miles away again. |
